PAYMENT PLAN
Newcastle Muslim Burial Council (NMBC) comprises a group of experienced volunteers who give their time to help you fulfil the requirements of UK law and the Shariah if you have lost a loved one. Your loss is our loss, and we will endeavor to assist you in your time of need. We do so with the hope of reward from Allah. The fees that we charge are only used to cover our costs and we do not operate for profit.
We have links with the NHS, local authorities and Masjids, helping to ease the process of obtaining the relevant paperwork when someone dies, organising the plot at the appropriate graveyard, fulfilling the washing and shrouding of the deceased, arranging the Janazah prayers, and completing the burial.
We also have a private ambulance to transport the deceased from the place of death to the places chosen for washing, shrouding, Janazah and burial.

Initial Notification
When a loved one passes away, a family member contacts our 24-hour funeral line to speak directly with a volunteer for immediate guidance.
Documentation & Paperwork
We assist in obtaining the death certificate and other essential documents from the hospital or relevant authorities.
Temporary Arrangements
We coordinate with the family to decide where the deceased will remain until the time of ghusl and Janazah prayer.
Transportation & Coordination
If required, we arrange respectful transportation between home, hospital, Masjid, and cemetery.
Burial Planning
Our team assists in booking a grave, finalizing Janazah time, and ensuring all logistical matters are organized.
Coffin & Shrouding Preparation
We help arrange a suitable coffin and prepare for ghusl (washing) and kafan (shrouding) in line with Islamic teachings.
Janazah & Transportation
We are present at the Janazah prayer, coordinating transportation and ensuring the process runs smoothly.
Burial & Final Support
We assist with the burial itself and guide the family regarding headstones and final arrangements if needed.
